MEXT University recommendation
We have at least one seat each year for MS and Ph.D. students at Kindai University. This is not only for our lab, department, but for the whole university, which will be a competitive one.
Since there will be an official call from Kindai University around November-December, I will pre-screen the candidates before that (until September). Those who are interested in the scholarship, please contact me as early as possible with your detailed C.V. with explanation of your motivation and interest in the research area of what we do. Please check our publication on ResearchGate for our research activities. You may be able to understand what the goals are for our research (News release). If your C.V. is good and interesting, I will prepare a web meeting for further interview.

MEXT Embassy recommendation
Submit your proposal to the Japanese embassy in your area. The embassy will pre-screen candidates. If you pass the first screening, you will contact several universities for a chance to study. If you receive letters of acceptance from universities, send them to the embassy. MEXT will then select the final candidates for the fellowship.
Note
I strongly recommend that you contact us before submitting your proposal to the embassy regarding your research topic. Also, it is better to prepare your English certification scores (TOEFL or IELTS). We need time to make a decision and prepare the acceptance letter. Sudden request of the accpetance letter after you pass the first screening by the Japanese embassy will be difficult for us to give back a positive answer for acceptance.
