Evolution - a new view

This is not part of any science curriculum.

Here is a new view on the evolution of key components of nature - plants, soil and the small creatures and how their evolution is interconnected.

Join Citizen Science Soil Programme developed by Dundee University for GROW. "You will discover interesting things about your own soil and become part of the new GROW Citizen Observatory European-wide community. You will collaborate with other growers and scientists to discover the impact global soil practices have on major issues like the environment and food growing."

Soil Depletion

A framework of connections between soil and people can help improve sustainability of the food system and soil functions. Global soil quality needs to improve and this proposes "a framework of three types of connections that allow the targeting of appropriate messages to different groups of people. Direct connection by, handling soil develops soil awareness for management. Indirect connections between soil, food and ecosystem services can inform food choices and environmental awareness in the public promoted by gardening, education and art. Temporal connection revealed from past usage of soil helps to bring awareness to policy workers of the need for the long-term preservation of soil quality for environmental conservation."
