Welcome to my webpage!
I am a Full Professor of Economics at the University of Luxembourg. Prior to joining the University of Luxembourg, I have been a Marie Curie Fellow at CORE, University Catholique de Louvain. I hold a PhD in Economics (2008) from CORE, University Catholique de Louvain in co-tutelle with the Università degli Studi di Siena.
My research is in public economics, international economics, microeconomics, and cultural economics. I study fiscal competition among countries, tax havens and offshore financial centers, migration, cultural norm transmission, collusion among firms, environmental issues, and gender dynamics. I use both theoretical models and empirical analysis, with a focus on applied game theory and microeconometric methods. My work aims to inform policies and practices that address significant economic and societal issues.
In October 2024, I ranked in the top 5% of female economists worldwide: https://ideas.repec.org/top/top.women10.html
I teach Microeconomics, Game Theory, Mathematics, General Equilibrium Theory, Gender and Economics, International Public Economics, among other courses, both at the undergraduate and graduate level.
Since 2019, I am the Gender Equality Officer of the University of Luxembourg. The efforts of my team at the Gender Office were instrumental in the University achieving the milestone of adopting a Gender Equality Policy in May 2021. I am deeply committed to researching, promoting, and advocating for gender equality, as I believe that a gender-diverse research team enhances both the scientific quality and societal relevance of research outcomes.
