3rd Gender and Economics Workshop

The third edition of the Gender and Economics workshop will be held at the University of Luxembourg, Campus Kirchberg, Luxembourg City, on 23-24 May 2024. This workshop is organized by the Department of Economics and Management. It aims at presenting cutting-edge research papers on any fields in economics with a focus on Gender, Culture, Family and Diversity.

CONFIRMED KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

We have the great honour to welcome the following keynote speakers:

James Fenske (Warwick) and Libertad Gonzáles (Pompeu Fabra)

SUBMISSION OF PAPERS

We invite papers (either full papers or extended abstracts) in all fields of economics and particularly, culture, migration, labour market, political economy, public economics, theoretical or empirical, that treat gender as one of the main topics.

SUBMISSION OF PAPERS FOR POSTER SESSIONS

To encourage young researchers to exchange ideas, projects and perspectives with the above speakers and other researchers about the latest developments of scientific knowledge in the study of gender, culture, and economics, we will organize two poster sessions in the workshop. Posters will be printed at the University of Luxembourg if sent before May 1st. We invite submissions (either full papers or extended abstracts) from PhD students for the poster sessions. Last year PhD students may submit and present papers rather than posters.

YOUNG RESEARCHERS PRIZE

To acknowledge the significant contributions made by young researchers, the University of Luxembourg is proud to introduce the "Young Researcher Prize." This prestigious award will be granted to the most outstanding paper submitted by PhD students or individuals who completed their PhD within a maximum of three years before May 24, 2024 (all coauthors must comply with these conditions). Both poster sessions and papers are eligible for consideration. The official announcement will take place during the workshop. The winner will be presented with a prize of 1000 euros.
