There are several different ways to spin on inline skates. -- The heel spin or rear wheel spin is a spin where both front wheels are lifted off the ground.

When doing the heal spin / rear wheel spin, both toes are lifted off the ground and one foot should be slightly in front of the other. To spin to the right, have the right foot slightly in front of the left and lead into the spin with the right foot. To spin to the left, have the left foot slightly in front of the right and lead into the spin with the left foot. Most people spin better in one direction.
