My name is Simiao Zeng. I'm a nursing student at the university of New England. Currently working as an Assisted In Nursing in a multi purpose hospital. I was born and raised in China. I completed my bachelor's degree of Public Health in China Medical University. After that, I found myself was more interested in clinical settings, so I decided to switch to nursing, then I went to Australia to start studying master's degree of nursing practice.
I am an optimistic and positive person, and I like to learn and listen from others' suggestions, because I know my current ability still need to be improved. I know how important it is to have a positive attitude in work and study, especially in the nursing industry, where every single detail might be closely related to the life of the patients.
I like to send my smile to others, because I think smile can not only be friendly, but also make people positive. As a nursing student and nurse of the future, I am trying to develop different communication strategies for dealing with different types of personality of the patient. I'm now working in a nursing home, I know that the elderly people need people's company, and we need to communicate in a gentle manner, so even if sometimes some elderly people with dementia are in a bad mood, their manner of speaking is very bad, I also try to use a gentle tone to guide them, rather than being rude or giving up.
Here are some photos of my nursing study.
Here are some photos of my life activities and my stitch work for my loved dog.
In addition to nursing studies, I also enjoy my life, and after moving to Australia, I often camped out with my boyfriend and went to the beach. I also like running, listening to music, watching movies, learning Chinese food cooking and cross stitching.
