New Ladies 2013
The pieces of jewelery in this series have women's names, which means that each piece is individualized. The inspiration are the surrealists with their game of "Cadavre Exquis", or "delicious corpses".
The playful part of the work has always attracted me and I could play for hours with the shapes and objects on my table. I put them together, move them . So she changes little by little little her outlook and her personalities emerge before my eyes who tell me her story: this shy woman who looks as if she has butterflies in her stomach and she is thinking with her feet ... I don't know if I am her last seen on the train or she was invented. I look at her a little skeptically and wonder if I'm a little like her, and I quickly decide to call her Anabel and so all similarities are purely coincidental.
Every single piece has its character, which is expressed through the shapes or objects and, last but not least, they are given their name so that they are not just anyone. I am fascinated by the stories of people and I have always been on the lookout for objects that can tell stories without words. We are a cocktail of circumstances and experiences, sometimes as unreal as real. My pieces are nothing more than a search for a personal and universal identity.
