Welcome to my website. I am Shunya Noda (written as 野田 俊也 in Japanese), a tenure-track assistant professor of the University of Tokyo, and a project manager of the University of Tokyo Market Design Center.

I am a market designer in the broadest sense: I study, design, and implement institutions that help solve important real-world problems. My work is not defined by a single method or discipline, but by a commitment to using research to improve social welfare directly.

Before joining the University of Tokyo, I obtained a Ph.D. in Economics from Stanford University, and I worked for the University of British Columbia as an assistant professor.
