Maintenance Committee

Committee Chairperson - Bill Blackwell

As the home owner, you are responsible for the proper care and maintenance of your home. SGHOA provides for repair of certain maintenance items as outlined in the Covenants. Home owners must contact SGHOA to perform any maintenance items that are the responsibility of SGHOA. SGHOA Property Manager will review and schedule the work using a contractor whose prior work has been investigated by SGHOA. SGHOA works with numerous contractors and has negotiated rates favorable to SGHOA to ensure high quality work at reasonable costs. Home owners who choose to hire their own contractor to perform work do so at their own expense. Please see the request form below. Maintenance Committee Role and Responsibility

    • Work with Property Manager to select, schedule, and evaluate the work of general contractors

    • Assist Property Manager in evaluating and resolving homeowner building maintenance requests per SGHOA Covenants for SGHOA responsibility

    • Coordinate with Property Manager insurance claims with contractors, SGHOA insurance, and homeowners

    • Maintain planning schedule for major SGHOA repairs

    • Maintain planning schedule for items within the Reserve Study
