SHELTON STATE HOSTS GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY FOR

TRUCK DRIVER TRAINING FACILITY IN DEMOPOLIS

Tuscaloosa, Alabama – Shelton State Community College will break ground on a new truck driver training facility in Demopolis, Alabama at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 17 at South Industrial Park. The new facility, which will expand and enhance Shelton State’s current truck driver training program, is scheduled to open in 2017.

“This is an exciting opportunity for the College,” said Dr. Cynthia T. Anthony, Interim President of Shelton State. “We eagerly anticipate the growth this facility will provide, and we look forward to our continued working relationship with Mayor Grayson, the city of Demopolis, the Industrial Development Board, and the support of 

other generous partners.”

The groundbreaking ceremony is open to the public. All are invited to attend the event at 501 North Buddy Griffin Drive in Demopolis, Alabama.
