SHELTON STATE HOSTS INFORMATION SESSION FOR

MERCEDES-BENZ PROGRAM

Tuscaloosa, Alabama – Shelton State Community College will host an information session for the Mercedes-Benz (MBUSI) Automotive Systems Short-term Certificate Technical Program on Thursday, September 1 at 4:00 p.m. on the Martin Campus.

Tuition assistance is provided and students selected into the program are employed while completing the program’s coursework. Additionally, students who successfully complete the Automotive Systems Short-term Certificate Program have an opportunity to be hired as full time team members at Mercedes-Benz.

All employment opportunities are identical to those in the Mercedes-Benz Automotive Systems Associate Degree with the exception of Short-term Certificate students’ opportunity to earn full-time employment within one year. Students are paid an hourly wage of $14.50 for hours worked in production.

Those selected to participate will begin the program in January 2017.
