SHELTON STATE COSMETOLOGY PRESENTS COLORFUL CREATIONS

Tuscaloosa, Alabama – Shelton State Community College’s Cosmetology Department will host “Colorful Creations” on Thursday, April 14, at 5:00 p.m. in the Martin Campus Atrium. For this year’s show, Shelton State is teaming up with secondary technology centers for an evening of hair, fashion, and entertainment.

Competing alongside cosmetology and esthetics students from Shelton State will be high school students from Greene County High School, the J. Paul Singleton Career Technology Center, and the Tuscaloosa Career and Technology Academy. Featured categories will include Color Me Disney, Under the Sea, Colors around the World, and Candyland.

“The students and student instructors have put a lot of time, hard work, and effort into making this a great show,” said Latoya Armstead, Shelton State’s Cosmetology Division Chair. “Our community has supported us by making donations and providing entertainment. We could not showcase the amazing talents of these students without their help.”

Admission to the 2016 Hair Show is free and all are invited to attend. For more information about “Colorful Creations” and Shelton State Cosmetology, visit sheltonstate.edu.
