Shelton State Represented at NJCAA WBCA All-Star Event

The NJCAA Women’s Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Weekend took place July 23-26 in Niceville, Florida. With games played on Saturday and Sunday on the Northwest Florida State College campus, Shelton State Community College was represented by head coach, Madonna Thompson, and sophomore guard, Meredith Lovelady.

Meredith Lovelady, 5’9 and an upcoming sophomore guard, was one of forty players from across the nation participating in the event. She was Shelton State’s leading scorer last season averaging 14.4 points per game. Shelton State head coach, Madonna Thompson, also attended and coached Ms. Lovelady’s team for the weekend. 

Coach Thompson has a record of 447-121(79%) in her seventeen years at Shelton State, as well as ten Alabama Community College Conference Championships.
