Appalachian Regional Commission to Announce $368,000 Federal Grant in Workforce Development Effort for Hale County

Community Based Training Program Prepares New Workers for Automotive Careers in Alabama

Greensboro, AL – On Friday, December 11, Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) Federal Co-Chair Earl F. Gohl will visit Greensboro, Alabama to announce funding for a workforce training program to recruit, train, and prepare workers for Alabama’s automotive industry. Shelton State Community College and the West Alabama Chamber of Commerce will administer the program that will focus on workforce development in Hale County, Alabama.
