Shelton State’s Own Leads 2014 Team USA Cheer Team to Gold

Christa Grizzle Sanford, Shelton State Community College’s cheerleader coach, was selected by USA Cheer as the coed coach for the 2014 Team USA team. Team USA competed in Orlando, Florida, on April 26, 2014, and won gold. Sanford also led Shelton State Community College to seven consecutive UCA Junior College Cheerleading championships.

Joining Sanford on the USA team are cheerleaders Mistie Murphy and Aaron Pollard. Both are former Shelton State cheerleaders and are now current University of Alabama cheerleaders.
