Shelton State Alumnus Honored

Tuscaloosa - Fitzgerald Washington, General Sales Manager of the Buffalo Rock Company - Tuscaloosa Distribution Center, and a graduate of Shelton State Community College received recognition as a “Notable Alumni” at two events held in Montgomery in March.

Washington was recognized by Governor Robert Bentley at the Leadership Day Breakfast hosted by the Department of Postsecondary Education and by the Alabama Community College System during the All-Alabama Academic Team Program.

Washington, who earned an Associate in Applied Science degree in management and supervision from Shelton State Community College, serves on numerous community boards and is the 2013 Chairman of the West Alabama Chamber of Commerce.
