FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ZUMBA DANCE PARTY TO BENEFIT THEATRE TUSCALOOSA

February 7, 2012 (TUSCALOOSA, AL) – Theatre Tuscaloosa is hosting a fundraising dance party that is open to the public on Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The Zumba Dance Party will be held at Theatre Tuscaloosa in the Wilson Carr Rehearsal Hall at Shelton State Community College’s Martin Campus (9500 Old Greensboro Road in Tuscaloosa).

Zumba is a growing craze that combines musical rhythms and tantalizing dance moves into a dynamic workout designed to be more fun than work. Previous dance experience is not required.

Men and women are welcome to come and enjoy a day of fun, fitness, and laughs with instructors from The University of Alabama Recreation Center. There will be FREE giveaways and door prizes for participants.

Sara-Margaret Cates will be one of the instructors. As a regular Theatre Tuscaloosa performer, participating in this event is doubly important to her.

“Two of my passions in life are Theatre Tuscaloosa and Zumba,” said Cates. “I am so thrilled to be able to combine the two through this exciting event!”

Those who participate should bring two canned goods with them that will be used for a few toning exercises. Canned goods will be donated to the West Alabama Food Bank.

Online registration to Theatre Tuscaloosa’s Zumba Dance Party begins February 16 at 9 a.m. Participation is limited to the first 50 registrants. Admission is $15 until March 2 and $20 on the day of the event. Participants may pre-register by calling Theatre Tuscaloosa at 205.391.2277 or by visiting www.theatretusc.com.
