THEATRE TUSCALOOSA ANNOUNCES AUDITIONS FOR “Noises Off”

TUSCALOOSA, AL - Theatre Tuscaloosa will hold open auditions for its upcoming production of “Noises Off” by Michael Frayn, on Friday December 9 at 7 p.m., and Saturday, December 10 at 2 p.m. in the Bean-Brown Theatre at Shelton State Community College’s Martin Campus (9500 Old Greensboro Rd).

“Noises Off” has roles for men ages 20-70 and women ages 20-40. Those who audition should be prepared to read from the script (no prepared monologue required). It is recommended to present a headshot and acting resume. All who audition must bring their calendars so they can list any conflicts they may have with the rehearsal schedule. Theatre Tuscaloosa Executive Producer Tina Turley will direct the production.

Scripts for “Noises Off” are now available to read in the Ticket Office. Scripts may not leave the premises, however. The Ticket Office is open Monday-Thursday

9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Fridays 9 a.m.-noon. Rehearsals will begin January 3, 2012. The rehearsal schedule will be finalized after casting, but rehearsals are generally Monday through Friday evenings with some Sunday afternoons and/or evenings. There will not be rehearsals on most Saturdays.

“Noises Off” will be presented February 17-26, 2012, at the Bean-Brown Theatre on Shelton State Community College’s Martin Campus. Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and at 2 p.m. on Wednesday and Sundays. A Pay-What-You-Can Final Dress Rehearsal will be presented on Thursday, February 16, at 7:30 p.m. More details are available at www.theatretusc.com or by phone at 205.391.2277.
