Abundant Opportunities: SSCC Career Fair 2006

Tuscaloosa - The annual Shelton State Community College Career Fair has been scheduled for Tuesday, March 14 from 9 am to Noon in the atrium of the Martin Campus at 9500 Old Greensboro Road.

Sponsored by Shelton State's Job Placement Center, the Career Fair provides an opportunity for one on one access to West Alabama employers as well as the Alabama State Employment Service. The following area employers will be on hand to talk with students and alumni about career opportunities:

Alabama Power Company, Alabama Gas Corporation, Plumbers & Pipe Fitters Local Union, DCH Regional Hospital, Career Link & Alabama State Employment Service, Premier Service, Tuscaloosa Police Department, Alabama Department of Rehab Services, Citadel Broadcasting Corporation, Pre-Paid Legal Services, Northport Fire Department, Southern Company - Talent Acquisition (Atlanta)

The Career Fair serves a dual purpose at Shelton State.  Not only does the Fair provide students with access to potential employers, it also provides area businesses an opportunity to showcase their products and services.
