Shelton State Faculty and Staff News

Jimmy Osmore, Instructional Support Specialist at Shelton State Community College, will speak to a group of Tuscaloosa County School System special education students on Friday, February 25 at the request of Toni Franklin, Executive Director of United Cerebral Palsy of West Alabama, Inc.

UCPWA serves the community by providing a full array of beneficial services and resources to individuals with disabilities and their families and by advocating their full independence, productivity, and citizenship. UCPWS also educates through public awareness, fund-raising efforts, and dissemination of information and acquisition of resources.

Nancy Freeman, mathematics instructor at Shelton State Community College, has been nominated to Who’s Who Among American Teachers. Freeman is in her fourth year as a teacher at Shelton State where she teaches Business Statistics, as well as math classes from MTH 098 to Calculus III.

Teachers in the Who's Who Among America's Teachers program is are nominated by students listed in Who's Who Among American High School Students, The National Dean's List and Who's Who Among American High School Students - Sports Edition publications honoring our nation's top high school and college students. Approximately 156,000 teachers featured in the current edition of Who's Who Among America's Teachers.
