Speaker for the commencement ceremony will be Sandra Hall Ray, member of the Alabama State Board of Education for the 7th District. First elected to the state board in 1995, Mrs. Ray has served on the boards of United Cerebral Palsy, Boy Scouts, Theatre Tuscaloosa, Rotary Club, Shelton State Foundation, Adopt-A-School Steering Committee, the Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama and was a past president of the Tuscaloosa County Board of Education.

Shelton State President Rick Rogers said, “We are delighted to have Sandra Ray as our special guest at our spring commencement ceremony. Her involvement in education in West Alabama and the entire state makes her the perfect speaker for this event.”
