Tuscaloosa – The Adult Education Program at Shelton State Community College has participated in several recent programs.

Phillip Johnson, Site Coordinator for the Shelton State Community College Adult Education Program, spoke at the November 7 kick-off meeting for the Tuscaloosa County School’s 21st Century Grant.

In addition, Johnson and Lisa McKnight, GED On-line Instructor and National Reporting System Specialist for Shelton State Adult Ed Program, have provided in-house training for FIT trainers.  McKnight’s workshop was on the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) while Johnson conducted a workshop on available Adult Education software.

On September 28, at the request of State Board of Education member Sandra Ray, Susan Miller, director of the West Alabama Center for Workforce Development, Ronald Range, Assistant Director of the C.A. Fredd Campus of Shelton State and Fran Turner, Coordinator for the Shelton State Adult Education Program, spoke to the Focus on Leadership Group.
