AUDITIONS SCHEDULED FOR “TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD”

Auditions for “To Kill a Mockingbird,” to be presented by Theatre Tuscaloosa have been scheduled for January 5, 6 and 7 at 7:00 P.M. at the Bean-Brown Theatre on the campus of Shelton State Community College, 9500 Old Greensboro Road in Tuscaloosa.

Directed by Paul Looney, “To Kill a Mockingbird” is based on the classic novel by Harper Lee and was adapted for the stage by Christopher Sergel. Set in the small Southern town of Maycomb, Alabama during the Depression, “To Kill a Mockingbird” follows the life of eight-year-old Scout Finch, her brother, Jem and their father Atticus.

Roles are available for numerous actors of all races – children and adults, males and females. Persons auditioning will be asked to read from the script which has been placed on reserve in the Shelton State Community College library.
