Shelton State Community College offers Adult Education Classes in Bibb County

 

Tuscaloosa - The Shelton State Community College Adult Education program is offering Adult Education classes in Bibb County as part of its five-county service area of Bibb, Green, Hale, Sumter and Tuscaloosa counties.

Adult Education promotes the unified vision of assisting adults in developing skills for employment and self-sufficiency by focusing on the “E3 Initiative” of education, employment and economic development.

In Bibb County, morning classes are taught on Monday and Tuesday at the Bibb County Alternative School in West Blocton: Ms. Evelyn J. Tannehill is the instructor.  Night classes are taught by Mr. Steve Lightsey on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Woodstock Elementary and Monday through Thursday by Ms. Joyce Crews and Dr. Alesa Judd at Brent Elementary.

Instruction is provided at no cost to the learner, but orientation is required. For more information call the Shelton State Adult Education office at 205-391-2662 or Mr. Phillip Johnson, site coordinator at 391-2665.
