Career Fair 2007 Scheduled

Tuscaloosa - The annual Shelton State Community College Career Fair has been scheduled for Wednesday, March 28, 2007 from 9:00 A.M. to Noon in the atrium of the Martin Campus at 9500 Old Greensboro Road.

          Sponsored by Shelton State’s Job Placement Center, the Career Fair provides an opportunity for one on one access with West Alabama employers.  Participating employers include companies such as Alagasco, Alabama Power, Hunt Refining, Phifer Wire, U.S. Corps of Engineers, City of Tuscaloosa, Alabama Department of Rehab Services, DCH Regional Medical Center, Trinity Medical Center and Indian Rivers Mental & Retardation Center.  The current list includes those mentioned above and the following:  Alabama State Employment Service, ALTEC Industries, Carpenters Local Union #127, Century 21, Charter Media, Cintas,  Five Points Staffing, Kelly Services, Inc., Pine Valley Retirement Community, Plumbers & Pipe Fitters, Southland International Trucks, TELETEC Communications, Tuscaloosa Career Link, Tuscaloosa City Police, Tuscaloosa Fire & Rescue, Tuscaloosa City Schools, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, Westervelt Lumber Company, 84 Lumber Company and others.

The Career Fair serves a dual purpose at Shelton State.  Not only does the Fair provide students with access to potential employers, it also provides area businesses an opportunity to showcase their products and services.
