Auditions Scheduled for "Amadeus"

1/1/2007

Tuscaloosa - Theatre Tuscaloosa has scheduled open auditions for the play “Amadeus” by Peter Shaffer on January 8 and 9 at 7:00 pm in the Bean-Brown Theatre on the campus of Shelton State Community College, 9500 Old Greensboro Road in Tuscaloosa.

Paul K. Looney will direct the revival of this Tony and Academy Award-winning play. Antonio Salieri is the most revered musical composer in all Vienna until brash, irreverent boy-genius Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart steals his thunder. Greed, irony, betrayal, obsession and envy blend to a crescendo in a brilliant clash of ambition and genius, mediocrity and brilliance, life and death.

“Amadeus” will be presented February 23 through March 4, 2007 at the Bean-Brown Theatre.
