SOUTHERN SISTERS IN COMIC CRISIS:

CRIMES OF THE HEART

Tuscaloosa – Theatre Tuscaloosa presents Crimes of the Heart, one of the most beloved, quirky and heart-warming plays of the 1980s in performances April 13 through April 22, 2007 at the Bean-Brown Theatre on the campus of Shelton State Community College at 9500 Old Greensboro Road in Tuscaloosa.

This heartwarming comedy from Beth Henley, winner of the 1981 Pulitzer Prize and the New York Drama Critics Circle Award, is a funny, moving script about the demands, conflicts and bonds of sisterhood. The middle sister, Meg, returns home after a disastrous attempt to launch a singing career. And the eldest, Lenny, faces her 30th birthday fearing she’ll become an old maid. Over two eventful days, the sisters face the circumstances that have led them astray and rediscover the bonds of sisterhood that offer them strength for the future.
