Ellen Sheldon was the daughter of Thomas Sheldon snr. and Louisa Sheldon.
Note: In the 1861 England Census and two South African court cases (see below), Mrs. Parker's first name is spelled "Ellen"; however, her gravestone and Estate Papers spell her name as "Helen".
