Brian Mansel Sheldon was the son of Hugh Frederick Sheldon and Mary Sheldon nee Warrington.

Brian was a farmer, unmarried, on Glen Farm (Thomson), Maclear, South Africa. The farm had 191 head of cattle, 36 cows and 36 calves.
