New foreign employees can sign up for our health insurance plan at any time, there is no specific open enrollment period. Our plan starts and ends on July 25 each year, so if you join the plan in a different month the payment will be pro-rated by month.

Guide for getting Shang health insurance

1. The foreign employee should fill out the 团体被保险人个人告知书 (Individual Declaration of the Group Insured), sign it, and give it to Christine.

2. The foreign employee should give Christine a copy of the passport number, phone number, and bank account information (name on account, bank name, account number)

3. Christine will fill out 申请保险清单.

4. Christine will scan团体被保险人个人告知书and send all of above information to PingAn insurance

a) This should be emailed to dept_jkxbjqybq@pingan.com.cn, and CC the following people:

i. Coco Zhang (379846264@qq.com)

ii. Cuiyue Jia (JIACUIYUE616@pingan.com.cn)

iii. Mary Ma

iv. Joseph Lemien (joseph@shanglearning.com)

5. The PingAn insurance company will evaluate the application. This will take about 2 weeks.

a) After the approval PingAn will bill us the annual premium for each person, as well as the total amount that Shang must pay.

6. When Mary received this payment request Mary will make the payment, and we will wait for 2-3 weeks to get the insurance card and the insurance manual.
