Dr. Hepworth

Ed Hepworth, MD

Dr. Hepworth and his team performed my surgery in Sept 2010 to de-bulk my face of many coils that had been used to treat the AVM. Dr. Yakes was unable to "see past" the coils to determine where the AVM was active and needing additional embolizations. The metal reduced visibility through imaging techniques like MRI's. In removing the metal they also helped to reconstruct the contours of my face, closed up the non healing wound on my cheek (The Warthog) and generally made me gorgeous! The staff at Porter hospital couldn't have been more accommodating, caring, and great. The surgery was a success, less complicated than expected, and the results are wonderful. I was so nervous and a high maintenance control freak going into this next step. I'm very thankful that I trusted Dr. Yakes and Dr. Hepworth in their recommendations and plan for this phase. I can absolutely now vouch for them as an awesome and compitent team to be trusted and sought after.
