12 cups apple cider
1 1/2 tsp. whole cloves
1 1/2 tsp. whole allspice
6 sticks cinnamon
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
Tie the spices in a cheesecloth and combine them with the cider and brown sugar in a sauce pan or crock pot. Stir gently to dissolve the sugar and bring the mulled cider to a boil. Simmer for 10 minutes to blend flavors then discard spices. Serve in heated mugs. Serves 18.
