My main research area is Logistics, but I have also worked in other areas like aircraft desgin, health care problems (hospital-residents allocation, kidney exchange), airport slot allocation, etc. A full list is coming when this web page receives a proper update. • Distance selection and clustering.

With the goal of solving very large instances, I focus on these tasks:

• Model formulation.

• Model pre-processing and formulation strengthening (i.e., development of valid inequalities).

• Design of exact and heuristic resolution algorithms.

I have advanced experience coding with C++, CPLEX (Concert library), and Xpress (Mosel). I know some basics of MATLAB.

More in general, I am interested in real-life problems that can be dealt with as Combinatorial Optimization problems or that have an important component of Integer Programming.
