Experience

    I have a strong background of study in Psychology and Clinical Social Work. I have been trained in such clinical disciplines as Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Mindfulness Practice, Seeking Safety, Positive Psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and both Interpersonal and Narrative Therapy.   

    I received my Bachelor in Psychology at San Diego State University before completing my Masters in Clinical Social Work from New York University. I am currently licensed for the state of California and have worked for the University of California both at San Diego and Berkeley,  specializing in Co-Occurring Disorders, Trauma and Personality disorders.  Before moving into my position at University of California Berkeley as the Alcohol and Drug Specialist, I was the Director of the Andrea O'Donnell Women's Resource Center in San Diego.  

    In addition, I am an active member of various reputable professional organizations including the National Association of Social Workers and the California Society for Clinical Social Work.
