Preferences Help
ScopeBoss user defaults are controlled in the Preferences option of the More… tab. These defaults persist from one SB app launch to the next.
Beep - includes an On/Off switch and a slider control. The slider controls the volume of the scope beep. The switch toggles the audible beep On or Off.
Key Click - includes an On/Off switch and a slider control. The slider controls the volume of button press clicks. The switch toggles key click sound On or Off.
Slew Coordinate Display - On/Off switch. Real time coordinates displayed on the Slew, Gslew and Tip Slew tabs are controlled by this switch. When On, coordinates are displayed in real time. When Off, coordinate display is disabled.
Note: Real time coordinate display adds additional load to the scope's relatively slow processor. If slewing response appears unreliable or erratic, turn this switch Off.
Default Slew Speed - includes a stepper switch and a slew speed label. When SB launches it sets the scope to a default slew speed. Set the desired default slew speed with the stepper switch.
Key Slew View - switch. This switch sets which side ("front" or "back") of the Slew tab is the default display on SB launch. Set it to Slew to make the tab "front", with slew buttons, the launch default. Set it to Gslew to make the tab "back", with the gesture box, the launch default.
Key Menu/Button View - switch. This switch sets which side ("front" or "back") of the Menu/Button tab is the default display on SB launch. Set it to Buttons to make the tab "front", with User Buttons, the launch default. Set it to Menu to make the tab "back", with the scope menu, the launch default.
Key Coordinates View - switch. This switch sets which side ("front" or "back") of the Go To Coordinates tab is the default display on SB launch. Set it to RA/Dec to make the tab "front", with RA/Dec fields, the launch default. Set it to Alt/Az to make the tab "back", with Alt/Az fields, the launch default.
Menu Source - switch. This switch determines whether the current menu is the Default Menu or the Imported Menu from the scope. See the Menu Help for additional detail about Default and Imported menus.
Reset ScopeBoss - Reset will return ScopeBoss to it's originally installed configuration. User data, including User Buttons, Imported Menu, Catalog Favorites, Slew and Focus Speed, and User Preferences will be lost.
