Manager – R&D and Engineering

The company is engaged in the Design and Manufacture power panels, control panels in collaboration with Schneider. The company has now begun a Lighting division to design and manufacture Outdoor, Indoor, Hazardous and decorative lighting fixtures.

As HEAD of R&D and Engineering my responsibilities were as under

Responsibilities

· Responsible for Engineering for the above products, tools, machine selection and other technical activities.

· Oversee the design quality planning, manage & coordinate the work among design work groups, Quality and Production.

· Determine personnel requirements, train staff to perform their responsibilities, and build team work concept and staff motivation in the section.

· Establishing a Product Development for the Lighting Division

· Build team sprit and motivation in the section.

· Plan and establish the economical process of production, defining the machines and operational sequence to produce the required product.

· Establish and define the manner and method of production, specifying instructions on how to produce the product, and ensure that the same is implemented in the shop floor.

· Ensure that existing machines, equipment and tools are capable to produce the product design, and that production are equipped with the required tooling, jigs, fixtures and machine programs (CNC) to produce the specified product at the right quality.

· Review and recommend new tools for production use, sourcing and evaluating supplier quotations, subject to the approval of the General Manager.
