The division is certified to ISO 9001 and is engaged in the design and manufacture of SPMs, using pneumatics, hydraulics, high power electrical, and electronics for machine control based on PLC.
In this capacity I was responsible for conceptualising the needs of the customer, interact with him, understand his requirements, to set the specification, design, prototype testing, manufacture, verify and validate the machine at the customer’s end.

* Established procedure for Design Review using IEC 1160 as a guide.
* Established procedure for Cross functional Planning of the projects.
* Identify National and International Standards for use in the company and maintain them.
* Identify, create and maintain company standards.
* Trickle impregnating machine
The machine along with the loading trolley is used to impregnate stator packs from 160 to 200 frame sizes. The reduction in cycle time was from three days to 30 min. The machine controls included the following:
1. PLC for the machine controls
2. pneumatics for actuation
3. High current electricals for heating
4. Closed loop control of winding temperatures using non contact Infra Red sensor.
5. Volumetric dosing of resin.
* Established the process of manufacturing, developing vendors for the process, design of Jigs and Fixtures required for the drag cup motors of BARC’s design. The motors are being used in BARC’s manipulator for handling radioactive nuclear fuel.
* Customisation of the CAD systems.
