WebXam
What is WebXam?
An online testing portal used by Career Technical Education (CTE) programs throughout the state of Ohio to have students participate in end-of-course testing needed for graduation. Each career technical course taken has an aligned WebXam test that must be taken at the conclusion of the course. These tests have performance standards that students must meet in order to pass the test. These tests are also used to help determine if a student gets college credit for qualifying courses as well.
Why take the WebXam?
State law requires that students participate in the end-of-course assessment for career technical courses. These assessments can also be used towards Ohio Graduation Requirements to show alternate competency. It is considered a foundational piece and must be paired with either another foundational piece (12 or more industry credential points, a completed pre-apprenticeship or apprenticeship recognized by OSAC, or obtain a state-issued license listed on ODE’s website) or a supporting piece (250 hours of work-based learning with positive evaluations, 14 or higher combined score on WorkKeys, or the OhioMeansJobs Readiness Seal).
Please talk with Mrs. Franke or your school counselor (Mrs. Hammond or Mrs. Sand) if you need help understanding how you can use your WebXam scores to help you meet graduation requirements or to obtain college credit for your program courses.
