The ASVAB will be given on October 16th at the Scioto County CTC.
What is the ASVAB?
The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is a heavily researched and well-respected aptitude test developed by the Department of Defense. It measures a young adult’s strengths and potential for success in military training.
Why take the ASVAB?
This optional test is offered free to all students and connects you with recruiters and services offered by our local military branches. Students sign up via Google Forms sent to their school email accounts, or by using the link in the post on Google Classroom.
When is the ASVAB at the CTC?
We will take the ASVAB first thing in the morning on October 16th. Testing will take place in the Belcher Meeting Room.
What happens after you take the ASVAB?
Recruiters will come back on November 1st to go over score sheets and help students discover careers that match their aptitudes and interests. You do not have to enlist or make any commitments to the military in order to participate. Careers are both for students interested in the military and those just wanting more career exploration time in general.
