Ms. Chandara started Taekwon-Do at the age of 35 at the Saskatoon Taekwon-Do West Zone club, under the instruction of Master Smith. Ms. Chandara began her journey as a cheerleader on the sidelines for her three children who have all received their black belt degree under Master Smith and Mr.Kimpton. She tested for her second-degree black belt in June 2022. She has competed in numerous tournaments ranging from local SaskCup to Nationals in Quebec, and has won Gold in both sparring and patterns competitions. 

Ms. Chandara has been an assistant instructor for the beginner's Taekwon-Do class since 2022. In addition to being an assistant instructor she has helped others achieve their goal of earning a  Black Belt.
