My first outing on a night rally this year to Wales with a new driver Richard James or 'Milo' as he likes to be known in his shiny red MG. It was a typically huge entry list of 90 crews consisting of 40 experts. It was going to be a competitive event and we were seeded car 13 - unlucky for some! With 1 hour and 20 minutes to get the route down, it was plenty of time and with 15 minutes to go we were on the start line waiting. The fist half was fast and flowing and every PC was manned. It was almost impossible to miss a slot due to the number of spectators on every junction! At the half way petrol halt we were in 6th position overall. The second half was more of the same fun! Towards the end of the rally, I did manage to glance at an amazing pink/purple sky before sunrise as we traversed probably the bumpiest asphalt road in North Wales! At the finish we had maintained 6th overall and came away with the "congratulations one of the crew is a girl" award! I really enjoyed event. The route was fab, Milo drove brilliantly and was great company. Hope that I get chance to accompany him again soon!
