Lecture Notes in Network Coding

The following lecture notes are prepared

by Dr. Samah A. M. Ghanem:

The first module (attached below): introduce the network coding technology. The slides cover the benifits of network coding, different types of network coding XOR, LNC, ANC, etc. It introduce also the algebraic framework for the network coding problem and the network coding for delay. The slides explains the network coding problem at the encoder and the decoder sides end to end. Finally, we introduce an example that provides an application of RLNC on satellite communications.

The second module: Further analysis of network coding for delay in SATCOM

The third module: Network coding for handover. We present an application of network coding for IEEE802.11 WIFI

The fourth module: Network coding from information-estimation theoretic perspective.

The fifth module: Network coding for 5G. An analog network coding example is provided in the presence of noise and a multihop relay network with AF.
