Adaptive Network Coding for 5G Satcom

I proposed Adaptive network coding scheme, a novel scheme that shifts the paradigm of the network coding typical problem into a single node single shot single transmission without the need for intermediate node.

Such scheme in line with Random Linear Network coding that is a 5G key enabling technology provides robust transmission that allows for minimizing the delay in 5G Satellite communications by inherently reducing the need for re-transmission or the delay encountered by the RTT.

The scheme is rate efficient, therefore, it has been extended via the addition of a layer of complexity, adding adaptivity on the modulation, to which adaptive coding and modulation are jointly done, to which its rate efficient and energy efficient.

This scheme is published at IEEE PIMRC 2013, and its extensions are published in later works.
