Time to show what you know about Scatter Plots!
Part I: Collecting Data
1) Collect the data as requested on the Google Form below by selecting the appropriate period below and click on it.
2) Submit your data while working in your groups. When you have completed the task, start your homework.
Part II: Analyzing the Data
In this task you will be asked to select two pieces of data that you have collected and create a t-table and graph based on the two variables that you and your group have chosen.
1) Work with your group to decide which two pieces of data you would like to analyze. For example, height to arm span. You may not repeat height: arm span, or have repeats with any other group. First come, first serve. When you have decided please see your teacher immediately.
2) When you have decided and notified your teacher, click on the appropriate period below and create a t-table with the two variables you have chosen. Make sure your data is in chronological order, least to greatest.
3) On a regular notebook paper, create your x and y axes making sure to label your x and y axes with the label and scale. When you have completed this show your teacher.
4) After your teacher has approved of your prototype graph, create your graph on the larger graph paper.
Part III: Presenting
1) Take the first 5-10 Minutes of class finishing your graph and be prepared to present your graph to your class
2) You should be able to answer the following questions:
Who worked on the graph?
What data did you choose? Why did you choose it?
What was the correlation? Positive, negative, or no correlation.
Why do you think that is?Â
