A SAIT's ALIVE Centennial project: Deer Park United Church Winter Clothing Give-away
Each fall, Deer Park United Church with Aspen Family Services and City of Calgary Community Services host a give-away of donated clothing items. Many of the recipients are newcomers to Calgary or young families with small children.
To help celebrate SAIT’s Centennial and support SAIT Cares: 100 Projects, SAIT's ALIVE members and friends were honoured to participate in this worthwhile project to help church volunteers prepare for and work at the Clothing Give-away on October 1, 2016. This year over 200 people were helped by this event.
Thank you for your donations of clothing and to those who volunteered your time.
Marilynn Sander & Jan Leinweber, Co-Chairs
One of the ways you can help celebrate the 100th year of SAIT is by supporting the 100-100-100 scholarship plan:
Celebrate 100 years
Honour 100 Former SAIT Employees
With $100.00 donation to SACSF
Process
In order to celebrate the Centennial, honour our colleagues, and build the SACSF (SAIT’s ALIVE Centennial Scholarship Fund) - SAIT’s ALIVE has a plan. Here is an opportunity to honour a SAIT co-worker who you feel made a positive contribution to life at SAIT
The process for participation in this initiative is described on the attached PROCESS document.
The form for nominations can be available in either Microsoft WORD or PDF format from these links.
Also - the SAIT Centennial website www.sait.ca/100 has now been launched.
