To many SAIT‘s ALIVE members the main benefit of belonging is the social contact with their former peers. Each year SAIT‘s ALIVE members enjoy four social events, approved and organized by the Leadership Team with help from the membership. Members are also encouraged to form special interest groups e.g. monthly “coffee group”.
Newsletter - Current paid-up members receive the SAIT‘s ALIVE Newsletter by e-mail or hard copy. Newsletters are published quarterly or as directed by the Leadership Team. Check out the SAIT'S ALIVE Website for the most up-to-date information.
SAIT Campus Centre - For a reasonable annual fee members and their families enjoyed access to the excellent recreational services of the SAIT Campus Centre. *under review* A multi-year redevelopment project is underway. Anticipated opening of The Taylor Family Campus Centre is late 2027.
Reg Erhardt Library - The SAIT Library recommends SAIT’s ALIVE members get a TAL (The Alberta Library) Card issued free from most public libraries across the province.
SAIT's ALIVE members can
Go to any Calgary Public Library branch
Request the TAL Card
Bring it to the Reg Erhardt Library
They will set up an account and add the SAIT Library barcode to the TAL card
The Library is open and accessible, the card would be required if someone wanted to take a book out.
SAIT Parking (Parking Garage) - SAIT Alumni and Development is supporting SAIT's ALIVE parking on the SAIT campus through the availability of a limited number of one-time exit passes for members who want to attend a meeting, activity or event on campus or want to use the campus facilities such as the bank, Reg Erhardt Library, Culinary Campus International Market or Highwood Dining Room. The new SAIT's ALIVE Pilot Parking Program will be reviewed annually. No need to present a current SAIT's ALIVE membership card as they have a list of current paid-up members
*Message from the SAIT's ALIVE Leadership Team: All guidelines from the previous parking pass remain in effect. NOTE: This pass is not a valid parking pass to be used during working hours by any SAIT’s ALIVE member who is employed by SAIT on a part-time or full time contract.
If you have any questions, please contact any member of the Leadership Team.
