10:30 -12:00 All-State Chorus Registration at CHARLESTON CIVIC CENTER.

DIRECTORS: You must be registered for the conference before you can register your students for the chorus.

All Rehearsals are at the CHARLESTON CIVIC CENTER in WestHall I

12:00 -12:10 Check-in with Region Chair in Little Theatre

12:15 -12:45 Honor Concert -Attendance required.

12:45 -1:15 Move to 1st rehearsal -West Hall I

1:15 -4:00 Rehearsal

4:00 -6:00 Dinner

6:00 -6:15 Check-in with Regional Chair

6:15 -9:00 Rehearsal-West Hall I

Friday

8:20 -8:30 Check-in with Regional Chair

8:30 -10:50 Rehearsal -West Hall I

11:00 -11:30 Honor Concert -Attendance Required

11:30 -1:30 Lunch

4:00 Chorus Concert begins II

All rehearsals are mandatory events.

Exceptions are made for performers at honor events.

They will need to check-out with their Regional Chair or

the All-State Chorus Chairperson.

Rehearsal Etiquette

• Rehearsals will begin promptly at the given time. Students should check in with their Regional Chairperson 10

minutes prior to each rehearsal.

• All rehearsal are mandatory events. Exceptions are for performers at honor events. The will need to check out with

their Regional Chair on the All-State Chorus Chair.

• Students must have their scores and a pencil at every rehearsal. Photocopied scores are not permitted. All measures

are to be numbered prior to the first rehearsal.

• Students are encouraged to bring a water bottle to rehearsals. NO gum, food, or other beverages will be allowed.

• Students are expected to come to rehearsals ready to focus on the music. Distracting and disruptive behavior will

not be tolerated.

• Cell phones and other electronic devices should be TURNED OFF during rehearsals.

• Students who cannot abide by these guidelines will jeopardize their participation in the All-State Chorus.

Concert Attire

All Singers will wear traditional choir robes or cassock surplice.

Men

• Dark dress pants

• White dress shirt

• Dark dress shoes and socks

• No jeans, athletic shoes, boots

Women

• • Dress or skirt and blouse, not to hang below the robe.

  • Dark dress shoes, preferably closed-toe

  • No dark or bright colored hose or tights

  • Conservative hair, make-up, and jewelry.

THOSE NOT IN PROPER ATTIRE WILL NOT PERFORM.
