As guidance counselors, you will be the first point of contact with students who are considering an outbound experience. Whether the student is planning to take a year between high school grades, or is planning to do a "gap year" exchange after their senior year but before formally graduating, you will be key in helping them understand how to ensure they have enough high school credit to meet their goals.
It is often the case that some countries will not allow an exchange student who has graduated from high school ... helping the student navigate how to ensure they have enough credits, but perhaps defer some formal paperwork to still maintain secondary school status can be invaluable.
We hope to get materials to you on an annual basis , either as a download from this site, or perhaps delivered by local YEOs (Youth Exchange Officers) from local Rotary clubs.
