Grant McKielson - Initiate of Orlanth
Grant had also been a member of the Lunar Provincial army at the time of Starbrow’s rebellion and was also demobilised soon after. He was raised in the hills of the Hardhill clan in Tarsh but kept with the Old Ways, not openly worshipping Orlanth but accessing the storms through worship of Barntar, Ernalda and Issaries (his father had been a wool merchant). It was soon after leaving the Lunar Army that he met Cleombrotus and Darkos.
GRANT’S SCHOOL REPORT
KIRWIN – seems to think of himself more than the group, and I think the other members of the group are aware and don’t fully gel with him. Kirwin needs to make some sacrifices or other gestures to be fully accepted. He is probably our strongest fighting character though every time we have come into combat he has fucked up and on one occasion practically died. He is the most honest, and a honourable member of the group, though Kirwin took the rewards of a theft which is against his principles. As a group we were offered 6 points of magic for a ‘limp chicken’. Kirwin asked about some magic for himself (surprise, surprise) and this would have cost the same as 6 points to the group. The 6 points of magic would have benefited the group more than his healing. Kirwin was made aware of this and was offered the choice. He took the healing. Please note, if Kirwin has a problem about Cleo or anyone else picking up anything and keeping it for himself, use this argument to keep the peace. Grant thinks he is a valuable member of the group but feels he could be more so if he was less selfish in his thinking.
CLEO – is the most aggressive member of the group. He is always up for a fight and is not afraid of taking on the biggest guy. His vast knowledge of this world is priceless as it must have saved us many a dangerous situation. Most of the time he gives way to other member’s ideas on how to tackle a situation and is happy to go along with it, but in a fight I feel he takes control and the other members work around his actions, which I feel the group is happy to do and Grant relies on it. Cleo is quick to kill someone if he is given half a reason to do so, and he is often talked down from such actions by Grant and Kirwin. Cleo is also the joker of the pack and often has the group in stitches. Grant finds Cleo the easiest to get on with out of the group.
DARKOS – is the voice of the party and probably the leader. He interacts with other characters we meet on our journeys very well and has gained our group and himself rewards for doing just that. I think all members of the party respect him and though he is not our out-and-out leader it’s these qualities that make him stand out; as well as the fact he is blue-blooded. He can be very lazy and uninterested in events which have nothing to do with our main objective. This, you could say, is part of his leadership skills as nearly every time we have strayed from our quest we have been twatted. He can be relied on and trusted but there is something ‘dark’ about him; not that we have to fear that – others do…He likes the idea of him being a scout but Grant has the best Scan roll by far, though Darkos has a Farsee spell. I think Grant needs to have a conversation about who should be the scout, though this will be hard as Grant is slightly intimidated by Darkos.
GRANT – Removed by GM before we start getting googled by the wrong crowd...
