PI SDR IQ+

Another option for the RS-HFIQ is the PI SDR IQ+. It is a DSP processor based on the Raspberry PI platform with a custom board that has a high performance 192 kHz A/D - D/A converter. The PI SDR IQ+ supports the RS-HFIQ, providing all necessary interfacing and connects to the PC using Ethernet and runs a special version of PowerSDR.

TechMinds recently reviewed the RS-HFIQ/PI SDR IQ+ combination and made an excellent video of how it works. You can view it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZhiZr3VgdI

It's a great option for CW and PowerSDR is an excellent program with dual RX and a host of Ham Radio related features:

I find it much easier to use than HDSDR, there are no sound cards or drivers to install/adjust and it's very low latency. It's good for running digital modes because it has built-in virtual audio cables.

I put mine in a box with the RS-HFIQ and wired up a mic jack so I can use my standard radio microphones.

This is a great option if you are frustrated with the whole sound card/driver/HSDSR setup.
